Grieving is a necessary emotion for healing and adaptation after losing someone or something that matters dearly to us. Your willingness to fully embrace your grief reaction as a natural protocol for healing will determine whether you adapt well or maladapt. Unfortunately, many people do not grieve well. They either move on too quickly in denial as a way of escaping retributions from today’s society with zero tolerance for people who grieve too long or totally numb grief feelings and pass themselves off as though nothing has happened.
